Drive In Movie Summer Fun
Break summer boredom by hosting a drive-in movie summer FUN!!! We are definitely a family that likes to get up and go but sometimes kicking’ it at home and watching a movie can be fun especially when it involves DIY crafts and kiddos! So, how do you do a drive-in movie at home? Glad you asked…first we’re gonna need a car. I grabbed some cardboard boxes from Staples, printed up some printables to attach to the boxes and let my kiddos go at it. They had so much fun decorating their very own car to take to the drive in!
This little guy couldn’t wait to hop in and take it for a spin!
Once the cars were revved up and ready to go, I pulled together a concession stand with some party supplies I had on hand. I grabbed some candy boxes from the dollar section and a bag of popcorn to set up a fun spot to grab a treat!
Simple printable labels were placed on white bags to hold the popcorn.
I purchased this Heidi Swapp light box a few months ago and I had all of the letters on hand to create this sign…the kids LOVED this!!
After the kids filled up their snack bags it was showtime! The littles grabbed their cars and parked a spot up in front of the screen.
Ready to throw your own indoor drive-in movie afternoon? We’ve got the FREE printable for you HERE to create your own version of fun.

Such a unique idea…love the cardboard box cars you made. Black and white with splashes of color really makes it look “movieish”. The lightbox marquee is the perfect finishing touch. well done.
