As much as I LOVE traditional Halloween decor, I am definitely a fan of the unexpected twist when it comes to adding festive flair to my house. This year I wanted to reuse some items from last years decor, you may remember this…and as must as I loved it, I have this need to change things up!!
This year, for my Halloween Mantel Decor, I spray painted some pumpkins white and aqua and mixed them in with the striped pumpkins I picked up last year at Target. I started by lining the mantel with black cheese cloth and layering various sized pumpkins on top.
Next, I used some left over pom pom fringe garland and a DIY felt ball garland to swag just under the mantel.
On either side side of the mantel, I made some “ghost tassels” to flank the ends.
For one side, I cut wood flag banner that I painted white and applied black felt letters and hung it from felt balls.
On the other side, I made a DIY Yarn wall hanging using bright colored yarn and a birch log.
The firebox area got dressed up with some yarn pom spiders, a lantern and some painted pumpkins.
Well, there it is! I think it is safe to say that we are ready for the candy!!! Want your own “All the Candy” Sign? Get it HERE!!
